WHAT’S NEXT? DISCOVERING OR REDISCOVERING YOUR PRIORITIES
TO ALL OF LIFE, THERE IS A SEASON

As a child of God born in His image, we will see seasons come and seasons go. We see seasons of birth of many things. We see the death of many things. We see a time to uproot and discard traditions that have brought us this far, but like the man at the pool of Bethesda, our past and tradition can only take us just so far. Christ observed a man who had resigned himself to have gone as far as he could go on his own. As his eyes met the eyes of Christ, a moment of silence may have ensued. Then Christ spoke and said, “Rise”, at this moment, belief over-rode unbelief. The no-name man knew he could stand on the legs and feet he was born with. Christ said for him to “take up his bed and walk.” This no named man was finally able to answer the question that stuns the average person as well as many Christians. That question is, What’s Next? He had been in the position of want for a long time. However, over time his want became a need, and after thirty-and-eight years this now humble man no longer depended on another human being to meet his physical, mental, or spiritual needs. He had given himself time to understand the greatest secret to living a fruitful and effective life here on earth. He grasps the concept that life on earth holds no greater challenge than the complicated daily demand of choosing among competing alternatives for our limited time on earth. Plus, our life is the sum total of all the decisions we make every day, and those decisions are determined by our priorities.
Children of God and the kind, if our priorities determine the quality of life and dictate all of our actions and behaviors, then it is essential that we understand and identify our priorities. The greatest tragedy in life is not death but life without a purpose or life with the wrong priorities. Life’s greatest challenge is in knowing what to do. When one keeps their priorities in order, the question What’s Next will have already been answered. Just remember TO ALL OF LIFE, THERE IS A SEASON. Bless God in the highest.
Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink, or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothes? (Mat.6:25)
