LEADING WITH AUTHORITY

Leaders speak and teach with authority.

"And they were astonished at his doctrine: for he taught them as one that had authority and not as the scribes." Mark 1:22 KJV

I ask you today, are you what you are talking about? One of the reasons why we follow Christ is because we believe that Christ is what He has talked about. Christ taught with authority, and evil was repelled in His presence. Christ could teach with authority because He knew Scripture. Everyone on this earth can be a leader in one form or another. Some may lead in the second chariot, as David did. Some may show their leadership from being at the apex point of clearing the way for progress as John the Baptist did. Some may lead from the rear as Esther did. She came forth at the last minute from an unexpected position, steadfast, saying, “For such a time as this.” As important as it is to know what you’re talking about, it is perhaps even more important to be what you’re talking about. I am closing by saying that a leader is defined by character, commitment, integrity, dedication, sacrifice, and honesty.
