DO YOU HAVE GOOD INTENTIONS?
Matt.25:10-13
Intention, as in purpose, is something that one hopes or intends to accomplish. This afternoon as I rested, I overheard the Actor/Comedian Anthony Anderson talking to Kelly Clarkson about his education and not looking at the show yet listening to what he had to say. He told her how he started college and dropped out with all intentions of returning. He had good intentions. His degree was 30 years down the road. He graduated from Howard in May 2022. God gave him time. A statement made by him stated: “'IT WAS ALL A DREAM”! I can feel his joy.
The blog today also speaks to the many people who may have good intentions. However, some will have a different blessed timetable than Anthony Anderson was given to correct what they had time to take care of earlier. Matt. 25:10-13 reads, “And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. (11) Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.(12) But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. (13)Watch, therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.” People of all creeds, cultures, and races, the time is now that we should find love for one another, for He is only coming back for one church. This church does not look like the man-made edifice we have so gallantly raised. Let us repent, get right, and not let the door shut before we are ready to go home.
